 You use the preterite to talk about actions that were completed in the past. -I shopped yesterday. -You danced at the party. -We went to the store. WHAT IS THE PRETERITE? THESE THINGS ARE ALREADY DONE AND COMPLETED. I.E. THEY HAPPENED IN THE PAST.

 Drop the AR from the infinitive and add one the following endings. CONJUGATING AR VERBS IN THE PRETERITE Yo -- éNosotros -- amos Tú – asteVosotros -- asteis Él/ Ella/ -- ó Usted Ellos/ Ellas/ -- aron Ustedes
