The good example of Barnabas El buen ejemplo de Bernabé

 I.-Bernabé hijo de consolación  36Entonces José, a quien los apóstoles pusieron por sobrenombre Bernabé (que significa «Hijo de consolación»), levita, natural de Chipre, 37vendió una heredad que tenía y trajo el producto de la venta y lo puso a los pies de los apóstoles. Hechos 4.36,37  I.- Barnabas Son of consolation  36And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, 37Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. Acts 4.36,37

 II.-Llevó a Saulo a los apóstoles en Jerusalén  27Entonces Bernabé, tomándolo, lo trajo a los apóstoles y les contó cómo Saulo había visto en el camino al Señor, el cual le había hablado, y cómo en Damasco había hablado valerosamente en el nombre de Jesús. Hechos 9.27  II.-He took Saul to the Apostles in Jerusalem  27But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.  III.-Enviado a Antioquía para conocer la iglesia  22Llegó la noticia de estas cosas a oídos de la iglesia que estaba en Jerusalén, y enviaron a Bernabé para que fuera hasta Antioquía. 23Este, cuando llegó y vio la gracia de Dios, se regocijó y exhortó a todos a que con propósito de corazón permanecieran fieles al Señor Hechos  III.-He was sent to Antioch to meet the Church  22Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch. 23Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.  IV.-Fue a Tarso en busca de Pablo  24Era un varón bueno, lleno del Espíritu Santo y de fe. Y una gran multitud fue agregada al Señor. 25Después fue Bernabé a Tarso en busca de Saulo; y cuando lo halló, lo llevó a Antioquía. Hechos 11.24,25  IV.-He went to Tarsus to look for Paul  24For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord. 25Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul.  V.-Bernabé y Pablo llevaron la ayuda para los hermanos de Judea  29Entonces los discípulos, cada uno conforme a lo que tenía, determinaron enviar un socorro a los hermanos que habitaban en Judea; 30lo cual en efecto hicieron, enviándolo a los ancianos por mano de Bernabé y de Saulo. Hechos  V. Barnabas and Paul brought aid to the brethren in Judea  29Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea: 30Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.  VI.-Tuvo una intervención decisiva en “el concilio” de Jerusalén  12Entonces toda la multitud calló, y oyeron a Bernabé y a Pablo, que contaban cuán grandes señales y maravillas había hecho Dios por medio de ellos entre los gentiles. Hechos Hechos  VI.-He had a decisive intervention at the "council" of Jerusalem  12Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them. Acts Acts 15.12

 VII.-Dar otra oportunidad  39Hubo tal desacuerdo entre ambos, que se separaron el uno del otro; Bernabé, tomando a Marcos, navegó a Chipre, 40y Pablo, escogiendo a Silas, salió encomendado por los hermanos a la gracia del Señor, 41y pasó por Siria y Cilicia, animando a las iglesias. Hechos  VII.-He gave another opportunity  39And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; 40And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God. 41And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
