Servidor Para la competición en las categorías de simulación es necesario instalar el sserver. En versiones antiguas el sserver contenía el simulador simspark dentro del mismo paquete. En la versión actual se instalan por separado el simulador simspark y el paquete de la simulación de RoboCup 3D. Requerimientos para instalar la plataforma: Se requiere la instalación del servidor compuesto por el simulador simspark y el servidor de la simulación de RoboCup rcssserver3d. Consulte la sección de descargas para mayor información de la instalación. El software debe ser instalado en el Sistema Operativo Linux. El simulador simspark cuenta de dos partes, un servidor que cuenta con una máquina de inferencia de las leyes de la física para poder simular lo más realísticamente un partido, y de un monitor (vizualizador) para poder ver el partido visualmente. Los agentes interactúan directamente con el servidor por medio de mensajes de texto. Estos mensajes son enviados mediante paquetes en una red de computadoras. El agente además tiene que ser capaz de interpretar adecuadamente los mensajes. Tanto los mensajes sensados, como los mensajes con ordenes en los efectores son mensajes de texto enviados mediante sockets a través de la red. Es necesario programar los robots con un lenguaje de programación que sea capaz de enviar y recibir datos por la red. La visión le llega a los agentes por medio de un mensaje de texto, dónde se le específica la distancia y orientación a cada bandera y a otros objetos como la pelota y los demás jugadores. Una bandera es una referencia estática que sirve para poder calcular la posición del agente. Todos los mensajes, ya sean sensados u ordenes de mover algún efector, tienen ruido, por lo que es necesario aplicar filtros. Los usuarios deben tener habilidades de programación y conocimientos generales del sistema operativo linux, redes, entre otras.

Installing SimSpark and RoboCup Soccer Simulation Installation on Windows 1. Download and install the latest MS Visual C Redistributable Package (x86).MS Visual C Redistributable Package (x86) 2. Download and install the latest installer (.exe) for simspark (usually in the penultimate version)simspark 3. Download and install the installer (.exe) for rcssserver3drcssserver3d 4. If you do not already have Ruby installed, download it. Tested with 1.9.0, and download it 5. Restart Windows (you can Log off and Log in again instead). This step is not always required. 6. Ensure that your PATH variable includes C:\Program Files\ruby\bin (From Start->Control Panel->System->Advanced->Enviroment Variable) 7. Enter in the installation directory, e.g. C:\Program Files\rcssserver3d 0.6.5\bin

Environment Variables In version of rcssserver3d, as downloaded from here, you may need to edit the rcssserver3d.cmd and other.cmd files to include the correct paths if you have problems running the simulator. This version assumes that environment variables are set for SPARK_DIR and RCSSSERVER3D_DIR (normally, the installers set these variables to correct values). You can set them as follows.here On 32-bit: SET SPARK_DIR=C:\Program Files\simspark SET RCSSSERVER3D_DIR=C:\Program Files\rcssserver3d On 64-bit: SET SPARK_DIR=C:\Program Files (x86)\simspark SET RCSSSERVER3D_DIR=C:\Program Files (x86)\rcssserver3d You can set these environment variables globally, or edit the.cmd files. Note that if you edit these files on Vista/Win7, you will be required to run your editor as an administrator, since these files reside within the program files folder.
