Navidad
Navidad is a holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus. On the 16 of December they begin to prepare for navidad by starting the Posada which ends on Noche Buena (dec 24). Guests are able to lodge at a hosts house by singing a special chant. Once the guests are at the host household they prepare the nativity scene. Once the nativity is set up everyone in the house kneels around it to pray the Rosary. The children hit a piñata after the prayer. On Noche Buena there is a special mass and after that mass everyone goes to their homes for dinner with family and to place baby Jesus in the manger. Children do not receive their presents on the 25 they wait until January 6th to receive them.
This holiday celebrates the preparation for Jesus' birth. When the 25 rolls around that is the actual day they celebrate Jesus' birth. The celebrate his birth because he is the savior.
Christmas is celebrated in all speaking countries.
Divertiría la celebración de la navidad. Sería divertido celebrar la navidad en un país hispanohablante. Sería divertido y diferente experienciar la navidad en una cultura diferente. Lo celebran diferente pero para las mismas razones. Sería bein celebrar navidad donde hace calor que donde hace frio!
