Adjective Placement In English, adjectives usually come before the noun that they modify: The red shirt The blue jeans In Spanish, adjectives usually come after the noun that they modify: The shirt red (la camisa roja) The jeans blue (los jeans azules)

Gender and Number In Spanish, most adjectives take the gender and number of the noun that they modify. If a regular adjective modifies a masculine noun, it will end with “O.” If a regular adjective modifies a feminine noun, it will end with “A.” If the noun is singular, so is the adjective. If the noun is plural, so is the adjective.
