Adjective Placement In Spanish, the noun comes first and then the adjective that modifies/describes it comes after ex. the pretty girl la chica bonita the strong boy el muchacho fuerte
Adjective Matching Adjectives in Spanish must agree in both number (singular or plural) and gender (masculine or feminine) This means that if the noun is singular, the adjective describing it must also be singular. If the noun is plural then the adjective must be plural.
To make an adjective plural… If the adjective ends in a vowel, add –s Ex. alto > altos bonita > bonitas grande> grandes If the adjective ends in a consonant, add an –es Ex. facíl > faciles dificil > difíciles
Most adjectives will then have four forms… tall alto, alta, altos, altas short bajo, baja, bajos, bajas While some will have only two… big grande, grandes excellent excelente, excelentes
