How are you? In Spanish there is a different way you say “how are you?” 1) if you are speaking to a friend, someone you know OR 2) if you don’t know them or want to show respect. ¿Cómo estás tú? –Friend/someone you know ¿Cómo está usted?- Person you want to show respect or someone you don’t know.
