Gender and Number (don’t copy) Most of the time, not ALL the time, when a noun ends in “A” it is feminine, and when it ends in “O” it is masculine. It is important for you to know the gender of a noun when learning a foreign language, because: it is a vital part of the word, and always included with the word itself, and The adjectives that describe the noun, change with the gender.
