I. Adjectives agree with its noun in Gender masculine or feminine b. ( ) Number singular or plural If the adjectives end in a VOWEL then add -s If the adjectives end in a CONSONANT then add -es
Ejemplos: 1. The hamburger is tasty. La hamburguesa es sabrosa. 2. The hamburgers are tasty. Las hamburguesas son sabrosas. 3. The pastry is very popular. El pastel es muy popular. 4. The pastries are very popular. Los pasteles son muy populares.
II. When an adjective describes a mixed group of masculine and feminine nouns, then use the masculine form Ejemplo: The lettuce, the carrots, and the tomatoes are good for one’s health. La lechuga, las zanahorias, y los tomates son buenos para la salud.
III. In the singular form, “mucho/a” means “much” or “a lot” In the plural form, “muchos/as” means “many” Ejemplo: I don’t eat a lot of meat, but I eat many vegetables. No como mucha carne, pero como muchas verduras.
