There are three beginnings to introductions: Te Le Les

***What to Remember  The person/people you are talking to is what determines the te, le, les.

Te, Le, Les TE Use te when you are talking to one person, informal LE Use le when you are talking to one person formal. LES Use les when you are talking to 2 or more people, either formal or informal.

“Te presento a…” “I present you to…” ej1: Te presento a Juan. ej2: Te presento a mi amiga, Francisca. ej3: Te presento a la Sra. Valdez.

Te is used when the person to whom you are speaking is someone you address informally.

“Le presento a…” “I present you(formal) to…” ej1: Le presento a Juan. ej2: Le presento a mi amiga, Francisca. ej3: Le presento a la Sra. Valdez.

Le is used when the person to whom you are speaking is someone you address formally.

“Les presento a…” “I present you(all) to…” ej1: Les presento a Juan. ej2: Les presento a mi amiga, Francisca. ej3: Les presento a la Sra. Valdez.

Les is used when you are speaking to MORE THAN ONE PERSON (formally or informally.)

Juan, te presento a mi amigo, Neal.

Sra. Morelos, le presento a mi amigo, Neal.

Juan y Sra. Morelos, les presento a mi amigo, Neal.
