What can you do to help your child?

Tips for Parents of ESOL Students Consejos para los padres de estudiantes de ESOL  Make sure your child is prepared for school – help with homework and plenty of rest.  Asegúrese de que su hijo esté preparado para la escuela - ayuda con la tarea y mucho descanso.  Communicate with teacher – work as a team to best helps your child succeed.  Comuníquese con el maestro - el trabajo en equipo para ayuda mejor a su hijo a tener éxito.  Encourage your child to be proud of your heritage and find ways to help incorporate their knowledge of this in their classroom – like a class project.  Anime a su hijo a sentirse orgullosos de su herencia y encontrar formas de ayudar a incorporar su conocimiento de esto en su salón de clase - como un proyecto de clase.

Tips for Parents of ESOL Students Consejos para los padres de estudiantes de ESOL  Encourage reading for pleasure by doing so yourself! Fomentar la lectura por placer al hacerlo usted mismo!  Have fun with languages by playing Scrabble or Boggle. Diviértete con idiomas jugando Scrabble o Boggle.  Tell your child how important you think school is and encourage him or her to participate in class. Dígale a su hijo lo importante que piensa que la escuela es y anímelo a participar en la clase.
