Salsa is the name used since 60’s to define the music genre that is a result of the mix of musical influences from Cuba and othe elements of caribean music, latinoamerican music and jazz, especially Afrocuban Jazz. Salsa was created by Latin and Caribean Musicians. Salsa has a lot of styles like: Hard Salsa, Romantic Salsa and The Timba

 Salsa es el término usado a partir de los años setenta para definir al género musical resultante de una síntesis de influencias musicales cubanas con otros elementos de música caribeña, música latinoamericana y jazz, en especial el jazz afrocubano. La salsa fue desarrollada por músicos de origen «latino» (latinoamericano) en el Caribe hispano y la ciudad de Nueva York.  La salsa abarca varios estilos como la salsa dura, la salsa romántica y la timba.

Also in the eighties, Cuban and Colombian Roberto Torres Humberto Corredor concept developed in Miamiel charanga-vallenato.
