THE BAMBAS The mining company MMG Las Bambas maintains the dialogue with the community of Outsidebamba, however "a feasible agreement" has not yet been reached, as indicated. The roads are kept free and there was no blockage to the company's activity in the last hours. Among the different topics discussed is the offer of jobs to families in the community. The Las Bambas mining deposit, one of the largest in Peru, produces about 400,000 tons of copper per year, which represents about 2% of the world's copper extraction.
