REGULAR –AR VERBS

There are 2 easy steps to conjugate a regular –ar verb: Drop the –ar ending (stem is left) Add the appropriate ending to match the subject

-an (ellos, ellas, ustedes) -AR VERB ENDINGS: -o (yo) -amos (nosotros) -as (tú) -áis (vosotros) -a (él, ella, usted) -an (ellos, ellas, ustedes) Otra Vez https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RuevxWIoCM

-as Match the ending with what or who is doing the action of the verb. If the subject is tú, what is the verb ending? -as

The 6 different verb endings are used for only specific subjects; therefore, the subject is not always needed. Hablo= I talk Hablas=you (i) talk

You must use the subject before the verb if: The subject is unclear [habla=he/she/you (f) talks] (hablan=they/you all talk) 2. You want to emphasize the subject (Ella habla pero él no habla.)

1. Yo: bailar 2. Ella: cantar 3. Ellos: dibujar 4. Ud.: patinar VAMOS A PRACTICAR Conjugate each verb to match the subject. 1. Yo: bailar 2. Ella: cantar 3. Ellos: dibujar 4. Ud.: patinar 5. Tú: montar 6. Nosotros: estudiar 7. Uds.: hablar 8.Ana y Tito: trabajar 9. Raúl: tocar Type of way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSQbTNfr3R4
