EL IMPERFECTO

3. To express was/were - ing Yo dormía cuando mi gato me atacó. (preterite after the cuando) You can also do this by saying estaba –ando/-iendo. (Literally was + ing) Yo estaba durmiendo cuando mi gato me atacó.
4. To tell the… in the past date – Era el cuatro de julio de time – Eran las ocho. weather – Hacía mucho calor en la playa. age – Tenía diez años en dos mil.
