EL PRETERITO DE LOS VERBOS REGULARES!

Qué es el preterito? The preterit tense is one of the many ways to express past completed actions in Spanish. DEFINICION- The preterit tense: The tense in Spanish used to demonstrate completed PAST actions. In English, an example of the “completed” past tense is: Last night, I ate dinner at 6. (It is a completed past action)

Como se forma el preterito? The preterite tense is formed as follows:

STEP 1 You take the infinitive of the AR VERB: hablar

STEP 2 You chop off the ending: habl

STEP 3 You add the preterit ending: hablé (yo)

AR VERBS You add the preterit ending: hablaste (tú)

AR VERBS You add the preterit ending: habló (el/ella/ud.)

AR VERBS You add the preterit ending: hablamos (nosotros)

AR VERBS You add the preterit ending: hablaron (uds/ellos/ellas)
