The INFINITIVE form of a verb is the BASE, ORIGINAL form of the verb In English the INFINITIVE is “TO ______” (do something/action) In SPANISH In Spanish there are THREE types of INFINITIVES: AR, ER, & IR verbs (those are endings of the verbs) We will first talk about AR VERBS
Rules for Conjugating AR Verbs First: Take the “AR” ending off of the verb 2. Next: Check who the subject of the sentence is (the person doing the action) 3. Last: Add the correct ending to match the subject of the sentence (who is doing the action)

AR Verb Endings Yo: O Nosotros: AMOS Tú: AS Vosotros: ÁIS Él Ellos Tú: AS Vosotros: ÁIS Él Ellos Ella: A Ellas: AN Ud. Uds.
Example: PRACTICAR Yo: practico Nosotros: practicamos Tú: practicas Vosotros: practicáis Él Ellos Ella: practica Ellas: practican Ud. Uds.
