How to Conjugate… Regular –AR VERBS

First, let’s review the subject pronouns. Singular Plural Person 1st 2nd 3rd nosotros m. we nosotras f. vosotros m. y’all vosotras f. (Spain only) ellos m. they ellas f. ustedes you all (Latin America) yo I tú you él he ella she usted you “it”

There are three types of verbs in Spanish. -AR verbs are verbs that end in –ar. cantar, bailar, mirar. -ER verbs end in –er. correr, comer, leer. -IR verbs end in –ir. escribir, sufrir. Types of verbs -IR

How to conjugate regular –AR verbs. 1) Drop the –AR ending from the infinitive. This will leave you with the stem. Use the infinitive, hablar hablar = habl habl is your stem

These endings correspond with the following subject pronouns. Singular Plural Person 1st 2nd 3rd yo = o nosotros/as = amos tú = as vosotros/as = áis Ud. él = ella Uds. ellos = ellas a an
