LA ACREDITACIÓN

La acreditación es el reconocimiento público y temporal a la institución educativa, área, programa o carrera profesional que voluntariamente ha participado en un proceso de evaluación de su gestión pedagógica, institucional y administrativa. Como señala la Ley “Ley del Sistema Nacional de Evaluación, Acreditación y Certificación de la Calidad Educativa”, Sineace es la institución encargada de este proceso, realizándolo con rigurosidad técnica, objetividad y transparencia.Ley “Ley del Sistema Nacional de Evaluación, Acreditación y Certificación de la Calidad Educativa Sineace también está a cargo de la elaboración y validación de la metodología aplicada para alcanzar este reconocimiento, a fin de garantizar que sea aplicable a la realidad nacional. ¿Qué es la acreditación? 2

Objetivos de la acreditación Asegurar la calidad educativa en el país. ▰ Ser un instrumento para padres de familia y futuros estudiantes que permita realizar idónea selección del qué estudiar y dónde hacerlo. ▰ Recoger información sobre el crecimiento de la calidad educativa, a fin de llevar un registro de cómo las instituciones educativas y programas de estudios mejoran en calidad. ▰ Garantizar que las competencias profesionales de los egresados de las instituciones acreditadas sean eficientes y, por ende, reflejen una formación educativa de calidad. 3

¿Cómo se obtiene la acreditación? ▰ El proceso de acreditación es transparente, puede ser revisada antes, durante y después de la obtención de la acreditación. ▰ Cabe señalar que la acreditación es temporal y su renovación implica necesariamente un nuevo proceso de autoevaluación y evaluación externa. 4

La acreditación en Institutos y escuelas de educación superior 6 La acreditación es un mecanismo para la mejora continua de los programas de estudio del nivel superior, es el reconocimiento público y temporal a la calidad demostrada. Es un proceso voluntario, excepto para las carreras de Educación y Salud. El modelo de acreditación es significativo en la concepción de la evaluación de la calidad educativa. Concibe la evaluación de la calidad como un proceso formativo que ofrece a las instituciones oportunidades para analizar su quehacer, introducir cambios para mejorar de manera progresiva y permanente, fortalecer su capacidad de auto regulación e instalar una cultura de calidad institucional. Una evaluación hace uso de la medición, pero va más allá, emite un juicio de valor como consecuencia del análisis profundo de los aspectos involucrados. Tienen cuatro dimensiones: gestión estratégica, formación integral, soporte institucional y resultados.
