Acabar de + Infinitive

Acabar de + Infinitive When you want to say that something just happened, use the present tense of: acabar de + infinitive.

Acabar de + Infinitive Acabo de (yo) Acabas de (tú) Acaba de (él, ella, ud.) Acabamos de (nosotros) Acaban de (ellos, ellas, uds.)

Acabar de + Infinitive Acabo de ver un programa musical. I just saw a music program. Mis padres acaban de ir al cine. My parents just went to the movies. Acabamos de hablar de ese programa. We just talked about that show.

Acabar de + Infinitive Although the action took place in the past, the present-tense forms of acabar de are used.

Acabar de + Infinitive Acabo de tomar un examen de español. Mis amigos acaban de hacer ejercicio. Acabamos de mirar la película. Acabas de correr en el parque.
