This global learning course will expose students to the predominant chemistry conducted in Puerto Rico at the university level as well as in industry.

Overview 2 of 5 The culture, history and lifestyle of the host country population will be experienced through travels across the entire country, visits to historical sites, museums, landmarks, old San Juan, restaurants, industry, universities, a rainforest, a bioluminescent bay, caves and the largest radio telescope in the world. La cultura, historia y estilo de vida de la población del país de acogida se experimenta a través de viajes por todo el país, visitas a sitios históricos, museos, monumentos históricos, el viejo San Juan, restaurantes, industrias, universidades, una selva tropical, la bahía bioluminiscente, cuevas y el Radiotelescopio más grande del mundo.

Overview 3 of 5 These other scientific locations of interest are to be visited to increase the exposure to the interdisciplinary nature of science in Puerto Rico. Overview 4 of 5 Half of the course grade will be based on learning the Essentials of Pharmaceutical Chemistry as described in a short textbook of the same title to be used for the study abroad course.
