You go through the list explaining the words in Spanish so that the students get to hear them lots and understand what they mean. I usually go back to the beginning and check they remember them throughout my introduction. Once we have gone through them all and practised I then get them to write them down in their ex books. By not getting them to write straight away it is much better for their memorising. When they are writing down encourage them to check the meanings with a partner if they have forgotten. Once they all have them in their books do one last check to make sure they all understand them correctly. This part of the lesson should take no more than about 10 mins. You may wish to extend it by using Post It notes to help them memorise. You may also wish to imtroduce the words with an action to help engage left and right hand side of brain. de vacaciones on holiday

If they get it wrong the teacher wins a point! They are not in the same order as in the previous silde to make the teacher have a chance!!! de vacaciones on holiday 4

To win a point the class must repeat the phrase, if the teacher has said it correctly; they must remain silent if it is said incorrectly. The class have to guess the sentence. After each guess the teacher tells them how many parts they have got right but not which parts.
