OJO! Since participles are adjectives, They need to agree in number and gender. Ex: Casar—to marry El hombre está casado La mujer está casada Las personas están casadas.
El verbo: Terminar—to finish The job/work is finished. El trabajo está terminado. The homework is finished. La tarea está terminada.
