3  Use es la when referring to “one o’clock” and use son las when referring to all other hours.  Es la una.It is one o’clock.  Son las dos. It is two o’clock.  Son las cinco.It is five o’clock.  La and las are used before the hour because they refer to “la hora” (fem).
