3 Extra credit opportunity – Trifolds Rules and procedures: Write your name (Spanish, last name), the period and chapter number at the top. The first chapter is called “Para empezar”, so just fill in “P.E.” You must fill out the chart completely, correctly and legibly from the vocabulary list or credit will not be given. NO PARTIAL CREDIT for unfinished trifolds! Your trifold is due the day of the quiz and will be taken up and returned to you once quizzes are graded. The extra 10 points will be added to your vocabulary quizzes in Powerschool.

4 Trifolds, cont’d. The 10 points are non-transferrable. In other words, you cannot take the 10 points and add to a grammar quiz or a chapter test. This “Trifold” system is called such because you copy/fill in the English word in the far left column and the definition in Spanish on the far right. Then, fold Spanish column down so you cannot look. Test yourself by filling in the next right column. Repeat for a 3 rd time (tri-) until your chart is completely filled in. You’ll eventually have a paper resembling a fan. This is a method of reviewing/memorizing definitions and spelling in Spanish, which can be quite challenging for some language learners.
