2 PREFERIR- TO PREFER Here we will learn the verb PREFERIR, which means “to prefer.” But before we do, let’s look at 2 other verbs like PREFERIR.

3 PENSAR-TO THINK, TO PLAN QUERER- TO WANT Querer and Pensar are “stem- changing” verbs. They are “e > ie” stem-changing verbs.

4 “BOOT” OR “SHOE” VERBS Those three verbs are called “boot” or “shoe” verbs. Why? Well, when you conjugate the verbs with the different subject pronouns the letter E changes to IE, EXCEPT ON THE FORM NOSOTROS! If you circle the verbs that have changed, it will take the shape of a boot or shoe. LET’S TAKE A LOOK
