2 KS4 SPEAKING Task title: JOB INTERVIEW (4-6 min. conversation) Task. You see an advert for a work/study placement in a Spanish college and decide to apply. You have been offered an interview to discuss the placement.. Answer the questions you are asked. For a higher grade, make sure YOU ask one question.

3 To achieve a grade C or above, you must:. Answer the questions for longer than 4 minutes;. use a variety of tenses (preterit, imperfect, perfect, present, conditional, future);. use different expressions to talk about the future, such as pienso que + infinitive, quiero + infinitive or espero + infinitive;. use complex sentences with si + present + future to talk about the future.. use connectives to link your sentences; y, también, pero, sin embargo and connectives that take infinitives, despues de + infinitive. give opinions (especially sophisticated) and justify them; lo que más me gusta …; lo peor es … porque …. use negatives; no … ni … ni … (neither … nor …) and tampoco … (not … either);. Take the initiative and ask at least ONE question during the interview.

5 Work/study placements available in Spain The Instituto Madrid Centro is offering work/study placements to students with a good level of Spanish and an interest in improving their language skills. Office-based work along with a chance to enrol on a selection of our varied and interesting courses. Applicants should have some work experience. Interviews will be held in the UK in May.
