2 Welcome back travelers! In this second lesson we are going to study the past and the future Spanish verbs in an easy way!. The regular verbs in THE FUTURE TENSE are conjugated by adding the following endings to the infinitive form of the verb: -é, -ás, -á, -emos, -éis, án Yo hablaré Tú hablarás El/ella hablará Nosotros hablaremos Vosotros hablaréis Ellos/ellas hablarán The regular verbs in THE FUTURE TENSE are conjugated by adding the following endings to the infinitive form of the verb: -é, -ás, -á, -emos, -éis, án Yo hablaré Tú hablarás El/ella hablará Nosotros hablaremos Vosotros hablaréis Ellos/ellas hablarán Hablar (To talk)

3 There are twelve common verbs that are irregular in the future tense. Their endings are regular, but their stems change. Since the endings are the same as all other future tense verbs, I show you only the “yo” form, and I have underlined the irregular stem

4 Caber (To fit) Yo cabré Haber (To be) Yo habré Poder (Can) Yo podré Tener (To have) Yo tendré Salir (To go out) Yo saldré Poner (To put) Yo pondré Decir (To say) Yo diré Hacer (To do) Yo haré Querer (To want) Yo querré Valer (To cost) Yo valdré Saber (To know) Yo sabré Venir (To come) Yo vendré

5 Using “hablar” (To talk) as an example: Yo hablé Tú hablaste Él/ella habló Nosotros/as hablamos Vosotros/as hablasteis Ellos/ellas hablaron

6 Verbs ending “-er”. Using “comer” (To eat) as an example: Yo comí Tú comiste Él/ella comió Nosotros/as comimos Vosotros/as comisteis Ellos/ellas comieron

7 Verbs ending “-ir”. Using “vivir” (To live) as an example: Yo viví Tú viviste Él/ella vivió Nosotros/as vivimos Vosotros/as vivisteis Ellos/ellas vivieron

8 The second group is the P RESENT P ERFECT : I have spoken. Verbs ending “-ar”: Yo he hablado Tú has hablado Él/ella ha hablado Nosotros hemos hablado Vosotros habéis hablado Ellos/ellas han hablado Verbs ending “-ir” Yo he vivido Tú has vivido Él/ella han vivido Nosotros hemos vivido Vosotros habéis vivido Ellos/ellas han vivido Verbs ending “-er”: Yo he comido Tú has comido Él/ella ha comido Nosotros hemos comido Vosotros habéis comido Ellos/ellas han comido

9 And the last group of verbs: T HE PAS PERFECT (I had spoken) Verbs ending “-ar”: Yo había hablado Tú habías hablado Él/ella había hablado Nosotros habíamos hablado Vosotros habíais hablado Ellos/ellas habían hablado Verbs ending “-er”: Yo había comido Tú habías comido Él/ella había comido Nosotros habíamos comido Vosotros habíais comido Ellos/ellas habían comido Verbs ending “-ir”: Yo había vivido Tú habías vivido Él/ella había vivido Nosotros habíamos vivido Vosotros habíais vivido Ellos/ellas habían vivido

10 If you want to make question in the past you just have to remove the subject and make the sentence interrogative, like this: ¿Ya habéis comido? / Have you already eaten? ¿Habéis vivido en España? / Have you lived in Spain? That’s all for these lesson! I know Spanish verbs are a little bit difficult but with practice you will get it!
