3  Let’s look at an example, the verb COMER, which means “to eat.” It ends in –ER, so it is included in this class.

4 COMER  The verb can be split into two parts:  The base: COM-  The infinitive ending: -ER

5 COMER  Now let’s say “I eat.”  Start with the base: COM-  When you talk about yourself, take off the ending ER and add –O instead. Just as you did for BEBER – TO DRINK.
