7  Use estar when talking about where something is LOCATED.  Example: Yo estoy en la clase de Español  or – El lápiz está encima del libro. Estar – Lo.Co.

8  Use “estar” with CONDITIONS. Physical, mental, or emotional states. Things that are likely to vary over several hours, days, or even years can be conditions.  Estoy cansada en la mañana. (I am tired in the morning.)  Estás triste. (You are sad.) Estar – Lo.Co.
