4  Indefinite articles tell what is indefinite: a woman = una mujer  Singular masculine: un  Singular feminine: una  Plural masculine: unos  Plural feminine: unas

6  Adjectives have gender (masc/fem) › Words ending in –a are usually feminine › Words ending in –o are usually masculine › Words ending in –e usually work for both genders and don’t have to be changed

7  When making an adjective plural, there are two rules:  1, if the word ends in a vowel, add the letter –s.  2. if the word ends in a consonant, add –es to the end.

21  Adjectives come AFTER nouns in Spanish!  Example:  La chica alta (the tall girl)  Un hombre viejo (an old man)

22  The tall girl = la chica alta

23  All verbs end in –ar, -er, -ir  Verbs are CONJUGATED to match a subject pronoun

24  Ser means “to be”  Forms of “to be” include: › I am › you are › he is, she is › we are › you all are › they are.
