3 AL Y DEL  When a or de is followed by the word el, a contraction is formed: Paco llega del gimnasio.Paco arrives from the gymnasium. Ana va al gimnasio.Ana goes to the gymnasium.  No contraction is formed if a or de is followed by la, los, or las : Laura habla __________ casa.Laura talks about the house.
