If the subject and object of a verb are the SAME…a reflexive pronoun can be used. The reflexive pronoun shows that the subject acts upon itself. I wash myself. You wash yourself. He/she washes himself/herself. We wash ourselves They wash themselves.

4 There are two parts to a reflexive verb. LAVARSE
When you conjugate a verb like lavarse, include the reflexive pronoun that agrees with the subject. There are two parts to a reflexive verb. LAVARSE You conjugate both parts. Placement of the reflexive pronouns: Option A: before a conjugated verb Option B: joined to the end of an infinitive verb (How many verbs do you have to have in a sentence in order to be able to choose Option B?) After reflexive verbs, use el, la, los or las with parts of the body or clothing.

7 II. Acabar de Means to have just
Use the present tense of acabar de followed by an infinitive to say what someone has just done I just washed my car. Acabo de lavar el carro. The children just went to bed. a. Los niños acaban de acostarse.

Prepositions Use para before an infinitive to explain your PURPOSE OF DOING SOMETHING Verbs after prepositions/prepositional phrases are in the infinitive para, antes de, después de I wake up early in order to lift weights. Me levanto temprano PARA levantar pesas. I brush my teeth after eating. Me lavo los dientes después de comer.
