In English, we use ‘s to show possession. Timmy’s books. The boys’ animals. RememberIn SPANISH there is NO ‘s!!! In SPANISH use DE to show possession: 1. 2. 3. Los libros de Timmy. Los animales de los chicos. Las verduras de la chica.

Remember, when using the NAME of a person: Just use “DE” followed by the NAME 1. 2. El helado de Paula. La música de Shakira.

REMEMBER: Possesive adjectives must match the noun in GENDER and NUMBER. Ex: La profesora seria. The BIG difference between POSSESSIVE adjectives and other adjectives is that POSSESSIVE adjectives come BEFORE the noun they describe!
