Present Progressive Tiempo Verbal Expresar qué está ocurriendo AHORA MISMO Por ejemplo: I am talking (I’m talking). Yo hablo. Yo estoy hablando. We are eating (We’re eating) . Yo como. Nosotros estamos comiendo.

Formación del presente progresivo: En inglés: We use a conjugation of the verb “to be”, and then add –ing to the end of the action verb. En español, para los verbos -AR, hay un formulario especial: Conjugación de ESTAR + Verb with “-ando” instead of the “-ar”

Por ejemplo: Nosotros / Hablar - We / To talk Él / Preparar - He / To prepare Mis amigos / Descansar - My friends / To rest Yo / Practicar - I / To practice Estamos hablando. We are (we’re) talking. Está preparando. He is (he’s) preparing. They are (they’re) resting. Están descansando. Estoy practicando. I am (I’m) practicing.

Por ejemplo: Yo / Comer - I / To eat Nosotros / Vivir - We / To live Ella / Comer - She / To eat ¿Tú / Escribir? - You / To write Estoy comiendo. I am (I’m) eating. Estamos viviendo. We are (we’re) living. She is (she’s) eating. Está comiendo ¿Estás escribiendo? Are you writing?

6 Irregularidades en el presente progresivo:
¡Súper-Y! When an –er or –ir verb ends in (vowel)er or (vowel)ir, the progressive ending is “-yendo”.

7 Verbos –ir con cambios de raíz.
Irregularidades en el presente progresivo: Verbos –ir con cambios de raíz. If an -IR VERB ONLY normally stem changes in the present indicative tense, it take the FIRST VOWEL of its stem-change in the progressive.
