3 How to use negative expressions:  Negative expressions in Spanish go before the verb.  Nunca veo televisión durante la semana  Or after the verb  place no before the verb.  No veo televisión nunca durante la semana.

4 Nada y Nadie  When nada (nothing) and nadie (nobody) are subjects, they are placed before the verb.  Nadie juega mejor que yo  When they are the object they can follow the verb or the preposition  No quiero hacer nada  Use the personal a with nadie when it’s the object of a verb.  No conozco a nadie aquí. subject precedes verb object follows verb

5 Using ninguno/ninguna  Use ninguno and ninguna to say none, not (a single) one.  Ojo~ninguno becomes ningún before a masculine noun. No tengo ningún póster de España  They are generally used in the singular and match the noun they describe in gender.  Estos son los teléfonos. Ninguno funciona.  Ninguna persona hizo la tarea.

6 Ninguno/Ninguna cont. Ninguno and ninguna can stand alone, or they can go before a noun.  If ninguno ( a ) follows the verb in the sentence, place no before the verb.  ¿Cuántas estampillas de Costa Rica tienes?  No tengo ninguna.
