Alguno y ninguno: some and none, not any
Shortened to algún and ningún before a masculine, singular noun Are adjectives, therefore must agree in number and gender Ningún is almost always singular except with words that are always plural (tijeras, vacaciones, anteojos, pantalones, etc.) Ella tiene algún dinero. Ella no tiene ningún dinero.

Alguien y nadie: Someone and no one
When used as the direct object of a sentence you must a personal “a” ¿Viste a alguien en la tienda? No, no vi a nadie. Alguien va conmigo. Nadie me ayudó.

Remember: Double, triple, etc. negatives are proper
If the negative word is after the verb, then NO must go before the verb No hice nada hoy. Yo no voy tampoco. If the negative word is before the verb, then that is all that is needed. Ella nunca limpia en la casa.
