5 Apuntes: Los Adjetivos (Journal page 58) Adjectives are descriptive words that modify nouns. In Spanish, you must follow steps to translate adjectives properly. 1. Flip the noun and adjective ____________ ___________ ____________ (article) (noun) (adjective) In ENGLISH, the adjective comes first. In SPANISH, the adjective follows the noun. EX: the pretty girl = la chica bonita

6 Apuntes: Los Adjetivos (Journal page 58) 2. Match the adjective to the gender of the noun a. Change the ending of adjectives that end in “O” to “A” b. Leave the ending of adjectives that end in “E” or a CONSONANT EX: the pretty girl=la chica bonita, NOT la chica bonito
