2 Nouns and articles  Nouns are masculine or feminine (gender).  Nouns are singular or plural (number).  Definite articles (the) or indefinite articles (a, an) are also either masculine or feminine and singular or plural, to agree with the noun. Los estudiantes están en clase. Un alumno escribe en el cuaderno. Dos alumnos escriben en la pizarrra. La profesora conversa con unas alumnas. Hay una computadora en el escritorio.
