5 Dos tendencias que serán nuestro presente en los próximos años 5 El traslado progresivo, inevitable (y bueno) de la información en un entorno de red La (por desgracia) presión en incremento por hacer más con menos (o más con lo mismo)

6 Tres necesidades vitales para las bibliotecas y servicios de información Estar en la red y atraer la atención del usuario –Es necesario agrupar esfuerzos para tener ‘fuerza de gravedad’, para atraer la atención de la gente (que cada vez es más escasa) Estar donde está el usuario –Es necesario crear nuevos servicios y mejorar los existentes para continuar evolucionando tal como evolucionan las necesidades y hábitos de los usuarios Hacer más con menos (o con lo mismo) –¿Cómo?

12 La biblioteca es una entidad multi institucional Libraries are increasingly taking a system-wide perspective of their roles and services. This can take different forms. Think of the close collaboration within the Orbis Cascade Alliance for example, where academic libraries in Washington and Oregon are moving to a shared systems infrastructure. Benefit: the more participants, the more discount on the e-access fee (opt-in deal) Parties involved: SELL/ALPSP/Swets >600 e-journals from “small publishers” License 2007-2009, 44 participants from 4 countries Working on the 2010-2012 renewal!

Siempre requiere esfuerzo y generosidad La cooperación no es el único recurso –Pero es un recurso más que está a nuestra disposición si queremos y sabemos usarlo La cooperación no es un recurso de países pobres –Donde hay más cooperación es en los países más ricos (quizá son ricos porqué saben cooperar mejor) muito obrigado
