26 Cisco IP SoftPhone Habilita DID portátil
Trabaja con VPN a la red corporativa Soporte a Claritel i750 USB IP SoftPhone caveots If using NT security, requires NT domain win 95,98 requires print and file sharing to be on Avvid directory-based security early test cycle- does not require either. Call Initiation Users will be able to initiate calls in many ways: Double-click on a directory entry. Drag a directory entry onto a “line block” (area of the dialog representing a line appearance). Select an address from a drop-down list of recently dialed addresses (redial). Start typing in the upper text field of an idle call block and press Enter or hit the "Dial" button. Addresses will not be limited to E.164 format; any address that is valid in the AVVID will be allowed. Call Reception User’s should be able to answer calls manually by hitting a shortcut key combination , clicking on a button on the screen or making a collocated phone device go off-hook. They should also be able to configure the SoftPhone to automatically answer the phone. When the SoftPhone is in Standalone mode, the user should be able to select a customized greeting recorded in an audio file to be played to the caller upon going off-hook. Caller ID Since the time a call is being offered, all Caller ID information will be displayed for the call. This information will include caller address (phone number), name and number dialed. Call Deflection The user will be able to “deflect” a call to voice mail or to another destination while the call is being offered to him/her. A list of the most recently used destinations used for deflecting will be available for the user to choose from.

27 Typical Topology for Remote VPN Connection
Funcionalidad VPN Typical Topology for Remote VPN Connection Internet Cisco 3000 VPN Concentrator Customer Internet Router Cisco IOS® Router Configured with PAT IPSEC Tunnel Switched Backbone This scenario involves a remote user using the Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator Software client on a Windows 2000 laptop. The user wishes to establish a virtual private network (VPN) tunnel thought the local Internet service provider (ISP) and into the Corporate VPN 3000 Concentrator. The local user is on a remote network using an RFC 1918 address scheme and a Cisco IOS® Router performing Port Address Translation (PAT) by overloading a public IP address on another interface. The VPN functionality is solely configured on the softphone client; hence this confiiguration and scenario hold true for Cisco CallManager clusters 3.0 and above. 31 ¿PORQUE CISCO?

Riverstone Cabletron Extreme Foundry Redback Ciena Sycamore Juniper Riverstone Enterasys Extreme Foundry Redback Ciena Sycamore Juniper Avaya Alcatel Nortel Lucent Alcatel Market Cap is the future vote of an open market. Cisco’s strong balance sheet means more security for you. Cisco’s strong control of it’s operating expenses allows it to heavily fund R&D, customer support, … when others can’t. Cisco has essentially no long term debt, and $20B in cash & equivalents. Who else comes close? None. Nortel $33B Lucent

33 Lider en Tecnologia 1,019 technology patents Committed to standards
21.4% of sales spent on R&D Because of it’s strong positive cash flow, Cisco invests heavily in R&D. Intellectual capital - Cisco is first & foremost an innovator. Standards - Cisco has and will continue to help promote open, workable standards. The strength of a good solution is in a great design (GEM process) and rigorous systems level testing. Cisco engineers, literally, have written the book on IP Communications. -  Cisco spends 21.4% of sales on R&D     -  Lucent spends 16.5% of sales on R&D     -  Nortel spends 18.7% of sales on R&D     -  Alcatel spends 11.3% of sales on R&D If you look at other computer technologies companies, the results are even more interesting....     - Siemens = 7.8%     - IBM = 6.2%     - Microsoft = 17.3%     - Intel = 15.1%     - Nokia = 9.6%     - HP = 5.9%     - Sun = 11.5%     - Oracle = 10.5% Another metric is the R&D expenditure per employee.  In this respect, Cisco is head and shoulders above our competition, as follows:     -  Cisco spends $125,700 per employee on R&D expenditure     -  Lucent spends $45,700 per employee on R&D expenditure     -  Nortel spends $63,000 per employee on R&D expenditure     -  Alcatel spends $25,800 per employee on R&D expenditure     -  Siemens spends $12,500 per employee on R&D expenditure  With the exception of a few specialist silicon/biotech companies, no one else comes close to our performance with respect to this metric.
