5 + Adjectives: What is an adjective? An adjective is a word that describes a noun. In English, adjectives usually come BEFORE the noun they are describing. For example: The funny girl ate lunch with the nice boy. The boy is patient. In Spanish, adjectives usually come AFTER the noun they are describing. For example: La chica graciosa comió con el chico simpático. El chico es paciente.

6 + Masculine & Feminine Adjectives In Spanish, most adjectives have both masculine & feminine forms. The masculine form usually ends in the letter –o The feminine form usually ends in the letter –a Masculine adjectives describe masculine nouns. Feminine adjectives describe feminine nouns. Example: Marcos es ordenado y simpático. Marcos is organized and nice. Example: Marta es ordenada y simpática. Martha is organized and nice.
