Using ir + a + the infinitive

What is an infinitive verb? A verb that ends in –ar, -er, or –ir in Spanish or that begins with to in English. Ejemplos: comer = to eat escribir = to drink caminar = to walk

To say what you are going to do, you will use the ir + a + infinitive First, conjugate ir according to the subject used Second, write a Third, write the infinitive of the verb Ejemplo: I am going to swim. Yo voy a nadar. Only the first verb is conjugated, because otherwise it would say I go I swim

To ask, what are you going to do today? ¿Qué vas a hacer hoy? To ask, what are you going to do later? ¿Qué vas a hacer más tarde?
