2 Why are these grouped together??
Good question! We just looked at the verb tener. Do you remember why the yo form was special?

3 Correcto! yo tengo: the yo form ends in –go.
So what do you think the yo form of venir is?

4 On the “go” yo vengo How about the yo forms for: Salir Poner

5 “Go” for it! yo salgo yo pongo

6 Wait! There’s more! There are a few quirks: hacer > yo hago
traer > yo traigo suponer > yo supongo

7 What about “ver”? Good question! It’s very irregular: ver > yo veo
Notice the ‘e’ has been left.

8 Let’s look at those “yo” forms again…

They are regular!! For example: hacer yo hago tú haces él hace nosotros hacemos ellos hacen

10 Venir VENIR changes its stem, just like TENER: yo vengo tú vienes

Oír is included in this group because only the “yo” form is irregular in the present.
