2 In this chapter there are three new stem-changing verbs
In this chapter there are three new stem-changing verbs. These verbs change from e to ie in the stem when conjugated. We’ve had stem-changing verbs recently with dormir and poder which changed from o to ue when conjugated. Yo duermo en la cama en mi dormitorio. I sleep in the bed in my room. ¿Puedes ir conmigo a la fiesta? Can you go with me to the party?

Demonstrative adjectives in English are this, these, that and those. In Spanish you have the same except since they are adjectives they change according to gender of the noun being described. This These That Those Esto Estos Ese Esos Esta Estas Esa Esas

6 *This and these have t's, that and those do not*
Examples I want this skirt. Yo quiere esta falda. Do you want this dress? ¿Quieres esto vestido? She likes these boots. Ella le gustan estas botas. He likes these pants. El le gustan estos pantalones. She has that hat Ella tiene ese sombrero. He has that cap. Él tiene esa gorra. We prefer those jeans. Preferimos esos jeans. They prefer those shirts. Ella prefieren esas camisas. *This and these have t's, that and those do not*
