2 ¿Qué es un diptongo? What is a diphthong? A diphthong is the combination of two vowels, one of which is an unstressed ‘i’ or ‘u’ within the same syllable, as in oigo or paisaje. Make sure you pronounce both vowels clearly within the same syllable. /oi/ /ai/

4 oi = oy Notice that the letter ‘y’ at the end of the word is pronounced like the vowel ‘i’ and therefore can form a diphthong as in hoy. Soy Victoria Salgo hoy para Málaga Voy a la playa
