3 Yo me levanto a las ocho de la mañana. Ella se despierta muy temprano. ¿A qué hora te desayunas cada día? Mis hermanas se maquillan en su cuarto. Nosotros nos acostamos muy tarde. Pepito se baña en el baño. Por ejemplo: I get up at eight in the morning. She wakes up very early. At what time do you have breakfast every day? My sisters put on makeup in their room. We go to bed very late. Pepito takes a bath in the bathroom.

6 Posición de los pronombres reflexivos: 1.In front of a conjugated verb: Me acuesto a las diez de la noche. Me quiero acostar a las diez de la noche. Me estoy acostando ahora mismo. 2.Attached to a gerund: Estoy acostándome ahora mismo. Luisa está cepillándose los dientes. 3.Attached to an infinitive: Voy a acostarme ahora mismo. Luisa va a cepillarse os dientes.

7 Uses: a.any action performed on oneself: No me conozco. I dont know myself. b. a reciprocal action: Nos queremos. We love each other. c. a non-deliberate action: ¿Te caíste? Did you fall down? Me rompí el brazo. I broke my arm. d. to stress the totality of certain actions, generally related to consumption: Nos comimos el arroz. We ate up the rice. Me aprendí las palabras. I learned all words e. with many transitive verbs to indicate that the subject performs the action to or for himself or herself Felix se divirtio en la fiesta. Felix had fun at the party

8 Yo me acerco a la mesa. Yo me arrepiento de no haber desayunando. Tengo hambre. El no se atreve a salir desnudo. Ustedes se convertirán en estudiantes universitarios pronto Nos damos cuenta que el tiempo pasa muy rápido ¿ Se enteraron que algunos estudiantes viajaran a Ecuador? ¿ Se fijaron en que el día no esta soleado? Sr. Pohl se muere de la risa con los chistes de Jaimito. Mi esposo se olvido de nuestro aniversario de bodas. No te preocupes que no suspendiste el examen. Algunos estudiantes se quejan de tener muchos exámenes. Me sorprendí de ver que bien hablan español. Mi hijo se pone feliz cuando esta de vacaciones.

9 Most reflexive verbs can also be used non-reflexively. When they are used without the reflexive pronouns, they are transitive verbsverbs that are used with a direct object. In transitive verbs, the subject and direct object refer to different things or people. Yo lavo el carro. I wash the car. (I = subject; car = direct object) Yo me lavo. I wash up. (subject and direct object refer to yo) Juana vistió a sus hijas. Juana dressed her daughters. (Juana= subject; daughters =direct object) Maria se vistió. Maria got dressed. (subject and direct object refer to Maria)
