1 Mi Casa Única Objectives: Students will be able to do the following: 1.Review and expand house-related vocabulary. 2.Discuss in Spanish using the subjunctive mood what your expectations, hopes, wishes, and wants are for a client and his family concerning their dream home. 3.Explain and describe in Spanish each level, each room, and what is located in this ideal home.

2 Key Focus: House-related words Subjunctive Mood conjugation and complex sentence structure Using Direct Object Pronouns Use preterite and/or impefect tenses as needed.

3 Project: You are a Spanish architect living in a Spanish speaking country. You have been contracted to design a multi-million dollar dream home for a multi-millionaire and his family. Brainstorm first and then electronically generate your unique house plan for this client who has a young energetic wife, 5 children, and 2 dogs. Label all the rooms and furnishings in your unique house plan for this family. A minimum of 40 labels must be added. Use the key vocabulary sheets as provided. Write an overview about the selling points and how you have designed the house, floor by floor, and room by room.

4 Essay: Overview Requirements 40 complete sentences expressing: 10 Sentences: Your vision, hopes, and wants for the home. (Subjunctive Mood) 10 Sentences: Your descriptions on how the rooms were designed, decorated, etc.(Preterite/Imperfect) 20 Sentences: Your choice of tenses-present, future, conditional, describing the floors, rooms, and furnishings. Direct object pronouns in at least 5 short sentences with any verb tense.

6 El Primer Plano Yo espero que esta casa tenga varios niveles porque esta familia es muy grande. (Subjunctive) Yo los organizó bien para una familia de cinco niños de varios edades y dos mascotas, perros grandes. (Direct Object Pronoun) Nosotros queremos que la sala tenga muchos sofás cómodos y un centro de entretenimiento electrónico enorme. (Subjunctive) La familia necesita que el primer nivel sea gigante. (Subjunctive) También los padres desean que la habitación matrimonia esté en el primer plano de la casa. (Subjunctive)

7 La Habitación de Los Padres La habitación de dormir será muy grande con un sofá de muchos colores, una alfombra cuadrada, cortinas con diseños modernos, y un armario muy grande para guardar mucha ropa y cosas. 8 La Sala de Estar La sala está organizada con un plano abierto con muchos sofás para esta familia grande. Ellos quieren que la sala sea un lugar para toda la familia junta. Todo en la sala será de colores vivos en un estilo moderno pero muy cómodo, usando el color rojo mucho. El sistema electrónico sería el centro del entretenimiento con: tele, computadoras, juegos, videos, y un teatro para la familia. Ellos los usarán.
