Waggoners Happenings News from Room 18 December 2010 Reading: Reading: Well be reading about a Cherokee legend, a police officer and his dog, and well continue with our study of homophones, homographs, and contractions. Math: Math: Well finish up with perimeter and then begin multiplication. It is very important that you begin practicing your facts everyday. Science: Science: Well be studying the types of energy: mechanical, sound, light, heat, and electrical along with activities to match. Social Studies: Social Studies: Well be working on map skills with each of the seven continents. Its time to bring out the sweaters, hats, and gloves. All around us the Christmas season is in full swing. I hope that everyone takes the time to enjoy this holiday season. The next few weeks will be filled with numerous activities. Your are always welcome to attend or visit us. A gift idea for your children may be a special set of crayons, colored pencils, markers, or gel pens. This Spring well be writing books each month for a group of first graders at Alamo Elementary. I want the students to feel the joy of giving to others.

Una idea de regalo para sus hijos puede ser un conjunto especial de creyones, lápices de colores, marcadores o plumas de gel. Esta primavera escribiremos libros cada mes para un grupo de estudiantes de primer grado en la escuela de Alamo. Quiero que los estudiantes se sientan la alegría de dar a otros.
