2 ser + adjectives These are the forms of the verb ser. As in English, each form means something different. You must use the correct form in order for the sentence to make sense. ser = to be Soy= I amSomos= We are Eres= you areX Es= He, she, it is,Son= They are, you are (formal) you all are

3 masculine/feminine adjectives In Spanish, there are masculine adjectives and feminine adjectives. Most of the time, but not all the time, when an adjective ends with an –o, it will be masculine. When an adjective ends with an –a, it will be feminine. Ex. – Guapo: good-looking, masculine – Guapa: good-looking, feminine

8 singular/plural adjectives Adjectives agree with nouns in number, in addition to gender. An adjective that describes one person or this is in singular form. When it describes more than one person or thing, it is in plural form. If the singular form ends in a vowel, add –s to make it plural. If it ends in a consonant, add –es. Ex. – Juan es alto.--Juan y Paco son altos. – Rosa es bonita. --Rosa y Eva son bonitas. – Miguel es intelectual.--Miguel y Teresa son intelectuales.
